WHAT WE DO

The Pearly Kings and Queens raise funds for nominated charities to provide to others a better way of living and to support those who are in need of help. Here are some of the principle charities supported by the Original Pearly Kings and Queens Asssociation in 2008/2009

St Martin in the Fields

We collect on the steps each year on the first Sunday of October, at our Harvest Festival. All funds go towards the up keep of the church.

Oakview School

The school provides an education in a safe and happy environment for 65 children with diverse needs.

Richard House

Richard House provides care and support for life-limited children and children with complex healthcare conditions between the ages of 0 and 19 and their families. All our services are completely free to families. This support is instrumental in helping us raise the £1.8 million that is needed each year to keep our vital service available to the children and families that need us.

Jeans for Genes

Jeans for Genes is the national charity which organises the annual fundraiser Jeans for Genes Day. Our aim is to help children and families affected by genetic disorders by funding support services and research into the causes and cures of these conditions.

St Joseph's Hospice

St Joseph’s Hospice cares for and supports people affected by serious illness. We try to improve the quality of life for people with life-limiting conditions and help them live life to the full, to the very end. Supporting families and carers is also an important part of what we do.
